Cisco To Update Security, Service Labs
3/30/2004 -- Yesterday Cisco announced several upcoming changes
to its CCIE lab exams.
Beginning July 1, the company said it will switch to PIX 6.3 in
its CCIE Security lab exam. Before that time, the test takers may
see PIX 6.3 installed in the lab, but they will only be tested on
version 6.2.
The company also announced that, on the same date, its Service
Provider lab (formerly Communications & Services) will begin
covering the features of IOS versions 12.2ZJ and 12.2S.
These versions also may be seen in the lab prior to that date,
but candidates "will not be presented with questions covering
new features of those releases until July 1st," Cisco said.
